The
conservation studio Ateljé Catellani was founded in 1989 and is
specialized in the restoration and conservation of fine art
paintings on canvas and wood panel. Among the studio’s most
common commissions is the treatment of older works of art (paintings
from the 15th – 19th centuries), in need of care and expertise.
A majority of Ateljé Catellani’s clients and projects are of an
international character, which not only demand an extremely high
level of professional competence, but also attention and respect
for integrity, reliability and professional service.
Among Ateljé Catellani’s clients are museums, auction houses,
insurance companies and art related institutions.
Chief conservator Anna Catellani is educated In Florence-
Italy, at Palazzo Spinelli, institute for conservation and
restoration of Fine art. Anna has also studied at the academy of
art in Modena-Italy and art history in Sweden. The care of
cultural heritage is of enormous importance to the Italians, and
the country has for this reason played a leading role in the
development of ethics as well as the methodology of art
conservation. The Italian school of conservation is thus highly
respected throughout the world..

Over the years, Anna Catellani received several awards. She is recognized by the Italian government for her efforts in conservation and restoration of fine art and were dubbed a knight of the "Cavaliere alla croce della solidaritetá
italiana" by Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi in 2005.
